Who are we?
St Thomas's choir is a group of around 18 friendly individuals who work together as a team to lead the singing in church. We are a mixed choir of adults and children with a minimum age limit of 7/8.
What do we sing?
We usually sing in 4 parts and in many different styles - from early to modern music - and have a constantly changing repertoire. We sing anthems once a month and on special occasions. Special occasions will include feast days in the Christian calendar, weddings and an occasional concert.
When do we meet?
We meet each week to practice and our aim is to have a full choir at our main Sunday service each week.
Is it fun?
Well it must be because everyone keeps coming!
Is it for me and/or my family?
New members of any age do not need to have had any previous experience as training is ongoing. If you enjoy music and would like to have a go at singing then do come to a few rehearsals and try us out.
We can assure any aspiring members of the warmest of welcomes.
